Client Solutions

Real estate

Based in Europe, our highly experienced real estate teams manage over $20 billion in direct and listed real estate equity.1 The teams offer deep local expertise in key markets and a connected, global perspective that delivers extensive real estate capabilities. Our investment management teams also benefit from research capabilities dedicated to public real estate debt instruments, via commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).

Private credit

Our real estate loan investments team has been originating private commercial mortgage debt since 1994. Over that period, the team has made over 3,300 loans totaling $13 billion and currently manages $1.9 billion. Additionally, our bank loan team has been managing collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) since 2000. Over that period, the team has managed 24 CLOs representing over $12 billion of committed capital, and it currently manages eight CLOs representing $2.8 billion.1

The structured asset group, which includes real estate loan investments, is one of the largest U.S. buyers of securitized credit — including mortgages, asset-backed securities and collateralized loan obligations — managing over $68 billion.1 The group has deep relationships across the ecosystem of investment banks, originators and aggregators who issue both public and private investments.

Private equity

Our private equity team is a highly experienced specialist team, investing globally in private equity since 1992, with a focus on Europe and North America. The team deploys a distinctive and disciplined investment approach across common themes such as lower mid-market buyouts, prime (aka emerging) managers, and co- and secondary investments.

Hedge funds

We offer hedge fund capabilities through Seligman Investments. Led by one of the longest tenured tech hedge fund managers in the U.S., the large and experienced team focuses primarily on the technology and health care sectors. It provides distinctive and innovative investment strategies for our investors.

Alternative investments encompass a broad spectrum of strategies, asset classes, and structures typically designed to exhibit low correlation to traditional equity and fixed-income markets with a long-term expectation of illiquidity. Certain alternative investments are speculative in nature and involve greater risks than traditional investments.
